Yew began with a small discovery: the meaning of my surname, Owen — born of the yew tree. For centuries the yew has been linked to myth, longevity, and the mysterious spaces between worlds.

Inspired by the structure of the tree, the typeface mixes sturdy trunks with narrow branches and subtle quirks in its forms. The result is a typeface that feels lively, a little strange, and full of personality—like something grown rather than constructed.
